My Story & Why You Should Choose Me?

As my time in the military came to an end, I was at a crossroads in my life and my career. I chose to pursue a career in photography, focusing on capturing the emotion found in life and love. Photographing families became one of my first true loves in the career, this was partly due to recently starting a family myself. Time moves quick when there is a little one in your life, in the blink of an eye my son was born and then suddenly it felt like he was walking. This reinforced how important photography is for the moments in life that fly by.

Weddings and engagements seemed like the logical next step for my in my career so naturally I dove in head first. I quickly learned to love the process of interacting with couples and learning about what makes them 'them'. By using my own life experiences to relate to my couples, I am able to put them at ease and create truly impactful and emotional images for them.

Documenting weddings is not something I take lightly. Not only is this one of the most important days of your life, its also a great gathering of friends and family. My approach to wedding photography is simple, create images that will last a life-time and represent your day authentically. While there are still moments where I will direct you and your S/O, I tend to mostly photograph candidly as I feel this lends itself to a more personal and real set of images.

What makes me different than the others?

Documentary Focused

By approaching weddings with the mindset of documentation, I'm able to capture your day as authentically as possible.

Not only will your wedding images differ from others, your day will be relived by generations to come.

Emotion Over Perfection

A perfectly staged photographed will be remembered as such, staged. My focus is on creating images that evoke real emotion rather than seeking absolute perfection, often times images that transport you back through emotion will hold more weight than a perfectly crafted pose.

Creative Portraiture

Whether its a double exposure, portraits on analog film or creative minimalism while incorporating your venue or space into imagery, you can be assured that you will walk away with images that are deeper than surface level.
